Whrilwind Cali Trip
So Brady, Wendy and I went to California for the weekend. We left Friday night, getting into Paradise at around 6:30 at night after an 11 hour drive. The reason for the trip was so that we go attend Ashley's (our sister-in-law, married to Kyle, with the adorable kids) baptism! She has been interested in the Church for a couple years now and she finally decided to get baptized so we felt we should be there to support her. It was a great trip. My sisters, mom and me sang a primary song with Kylee (our niece). She is so cute. Anyway, it was a great day. After the baptism we went back to my parents house and we had a big family dinner. After that, we played charades, at my Dad's request. I was dreading it at first because I hate acting games, but it turned out to be a lot of fun. Now, however, my niece and nephew want to play all the time, my mom says. Fun for her! I'd post some pics of our trip but Brady and I forgot the camera! Anyway, we spent all day Saturday in Paradise and then left at 6:45 Sunday morning to come back to Provo. It took us 10 1/2 hrs on the way back. Not too shabby but I could barely move when we got home. Also, Brady and I still haven't really recovered from the sleep deprivation, but it's getting there!

Heartbeats, Finals and Scholarships
We went to the doctor today and heard our little ones heartbeat. It took a while for the doctor to find it again, but he eventually did, on the far right side. We also could here the little thing kicking and moving around. Very fun! We will be able to find out what gender the baby is in a month. May 4th is the day of the ultrasound. I've been feeling pretty good recently, just some major headaches, but other than that the nausea has left the building for now as well as the worst of the back pain! So huzzah! Baby and mom are doing well!
The semester is coming to a close now. I have three papers left, 3 final exams, and then I'm home free!! One term more and I'll be done. And I counted and Spring term I will only have 20 days of class in total. Nuts! So I'm really excited to be done. It's weird, though, because I can't imagine not having homework or other things hanging over my head. For the rest of the summer I'll just be reading as many books as possible and then in the fall I'll be taking care of a baby instead of taking classes! The end is in sight and I couldn't be more pleased.
On a happy, exciting, wonderful note Brady has been awarded the graduate version of the Jack Kent Cooke scholarship. It's a lot of money that will help us pay for our rent and his school expenses! It is a huge blessing and we are so excited about not having to worry so much about the added expense of our little one! Anyway, things are looking really great right now!
