Beanie Mishap
We had to go to the store tonight so we decided to both go and take Lily, obviously. Well it's been chilly here in Provo so we put a little beanie on her to help keep her warm. This particular hat was a bit big so we had to roll up the bottom so Lily could see. Anyway, we get her in the car and half way to the store she starts crying about something. I'm thinking "great, she's already upset and we haven't even gotten to the store yet. This doesn't bode well." So we get to the store and I jump out and open the back door to see what is upsetting her and the beanie had fallen down to cover her entire face. It was pretty dang hilarious! I quickly pulled it off of her but the poor thing! She all of a sudden couldn't see and had this scratchy hat on her face. I can't stop laughing about it even now. I was not expecting to find that! I wish I would have taken a picture but I felt so bad for her already I just took it off right away. After we fixed her hat she was pleasant for the whole shopping outing. She sure is a cutie!

6 is the number
The Sonic Sugar Cookie Blast tastes like Christmas.
And it's been 6 weeks since I had Lily.

The Scorch Trials
The Scorch Trials is the second book in James Dashner's Maze Runner series. The first book is called Maze Runner. This series is amazing! I've never been so crazy to know what is going in a book I've been reading. And I've read a lot of books! I won't go too much into the plot, not that I could give much away because Mr. Dashner is taking his sweet time letting readers behind the scenes. But I would recommend this book to people who like books like The Hunger Games series, or other books like that. It can be a little gruesome but not too bad that I wouldn't feel comfortable. The Hunger Games pushes that border way more than these books. But it was so great I just wanted to put it out there because it is awesome. I can't wait for the next book!
Baby post
Well, life with a baby is definitely intense and more different than my previous life than I could have ever guessed. I never thought going from being a full time student and having a job to being at home all day with a baby could be so hard! I love Lily more than anything, but I have to admit - it seems like all I do is sit around and feed her. And then wait until she's hungry again. Granted, the fact that she's not supposed to go anywhere (doctor's orders) makes it way harder. Otherwise we'd be walking to the library every day. But for now, we are stuck in the house unless we go somewhere with dad and one of us waits in the car with her. I am getting more stuff done than I used to now around the house than before. It's hard for me to put her down, though! She is so cute. She has recently started smiling more and making little talking noises. So adorable. Although she also is spitting up most of what she eats! Yet she is still getting chunkier and chunkier.
Her sleeping is getting better. I thought we were going in a great direction when two nights in a row she slept for a 6 hour stretch. But last night she barely went for 3 hours. But that's better than the 15 minutes she sometimes slept before. So we are getting more sleep and hopefully she'll keep up the good sleeping habits.
